LS6 Cafe is one of the best student spots in Leeds. From brunch to a study date to cocktails - they have it all covered. With a delicious menu holding the reputation for best breakfast around Leeds, dishes include eggs florentine, pancakes, full english and many more - the delicious food alone is a reason to visit and they also have an endless amount for vegans/vegetarians and all their stock is sourced from ethical and sustainable farms.
But LS6 is more than just a cafe. They are one of the longest running independent businesses in Leeds and they proudly promote individualism and expression as well as the importance of community - which is why they hold so many events.
MONDAY
Every 2nd & 4th Monday of the month LS6 host a blues night from 8pm where they will have one band performance which is followed by an open jam. So whether you know some friends who are aspiring blues musicians, get them down! Or simply go along and enjoy some blues over a long island ice tea.
TUESDAY
Like blues night, LS6 also offer a reggae night but this is EVERY Tuesday of the week! Not one to be missed, a celebration of an under appreciated music genre.
WEDNESDAY
Speaking of under appreciated music genres, next up is jazz night! This again is every Wednesday of the week and works similar to blues night with a warm up band and then an open jam.
THURSDAY
Everyone loves a quiz night, right? Well this isn't your usual pub quiz, as every week has a theme to a TV/Movie. Previous genres include The Lord of the Rings, It's always sunny in Philadelphia and Disney!
FRIDAY
As we mentioned, LS6 are proud to promote individualism and expression which brings us to Outspoken Friday nights where local poets have the opportunity to share their words. Another one not to be missed on the 3rd Friday of every month.
SUNDAY
Not everywhere offers and open mic night - but LS6 does! Bring down your
friends and have a laugh either the 1st or 3rd Sunday of the month. This event is hosted by muted productions.
