Unusual Art Spots in Leeds

There are many popular galleries in the centre of Leeds, however, there are also hidden art spaces that are just as indulging that people don’t tend to visit. From cafes and bars to old brewery's, these hidden spots are ones to look out for!


The Gallery at 164 -


The Gallery, located inside Café 164 hosts various exhibitions which change regularly, along with working alongside local artists, they also work with universities and arts organisations to create an interesting space. Café 164 is popular for its ‘exciting and unusual sandwiches’, however, the different art on show is even better. Why not grab a bite and take a look yourself?




Munro House, Duke St, Leeds LS9 8AG


The Tetley -


The Tetley is a space that showcases contemporary art, located in the former Tetley Brewery. The unique space hosts various exhibitions, workshops and events, as well as having their very own bar and dining area.

Serf-


Located two floors above Wharf Chambers, Serf, is an open-plan studio, which hosts exhibitions, showcases work and offers a space for up-and-coming artists to experiment.

Castle Fine Art -


This gallery is located right in the heart of the city, but so many don’t realise it's even there. The gallery’s two floors showcase national and local fine art. Whilst the pieces are for sale, it’s also a space for coming together and appreciating creative pieces.
